Continuation mash. It can also be used from a very early age after Psittacine Crop Milk Replacer. It is a mash designed for hand-rearing small granivorous psittacine birds (nymphs, lovebirds, parakeets...) from one week of age. Contains dehydrated whole egg. Also contains papaya, which promotes digestive transit. Recommended for use up to the time of emancipation. These small psittacines have a very different crop capacity and feeding habits depending on the species and stage of development. For example, while parrots on average ingest 7 to 10 ml of food per 100 g of body weight, nymphs can easily ingest up to 17 ml per 100 g of body weight and feeding when they are fledging (especially during the first and last feeding of the day). The most important thing is to make sure that before each feeding the baby's crop is completely empty and that we take into account the degree of satiety that the chick makes explicit by demanding food with greater or lesser intensity. The number of feedings and the amount of food to be given must always be based on the capacity and correct emptying of the crop, but also on the food requirements expressed by the bird itself. We recommend feeding the food with a syringe with a soft virgin rubber or silicone tube. This is the method we use in our breeding centre as it is the safest and cleanest. We recommend stimulating the animal by pressing the lateral corners of the beak to provoke swallowing movements, before inserting the probe. Stage : From feather plucking to emancipation. Concentration : Approximately 25% solids in warm water. Guideline : 7 to 10 ml of slurry and feed per 100 g of bird's weight. Empty or nearly empty carton before each feeding.
